Oracle ERP integrations

How Wingspan fits alongside Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP or Oracle E-Business Suite: what you get without any integration work, the ways to connect the two systems, and which path fits your team.

This page is for teams running Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP or Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) who want to pay
contractors through Wingspan. It covers what you get on day one with no integration at all, the ways to
connect Wingspan to Oracle once you're ready to automate that, and which path fits your team. For the
API and table-level detail, go straight to the guide for your product:

Where Wingspan fits

Oracle is the system of record for your finance and, often, HR data. It wasn't built for a 1099 contractor
workforce, and it doesn't need to be: Wingspan handles contractor onboarding, payments, compliance, and
1099 filing, and feeds clean data back into the ledger you already keep in Oracle. You don't replace
Oracle. You add the contractor-native layer it was never built to be.

Get started with no Oracle integration

You don't need an Oracle integration to start paying contractors through Wingspan. Onboarding, payments,
compliance, and 1099 filing all run on day one, independent of anything in Oracle. Your finance team
exports payment activity by CSV, or pulls it through our BigQuery and data warehouse feed, and brings it
into Oracle the same way you already close the books today. An Oracle integration automates that export
step later; it's never something you need before go-live.

Ways to connect Wingspan and Oracle

Once you're ready to automate, there are three ways to do it, and they aren't mutually exclusive.

OptionWhat it isBenefit
Keep exporting manually, or through BigQueryThe day-one setup, kept running as long as it works for youNo engineering work, ever, if that's what you want
Wingspan builds the syncOur team builds your Oracle Fusion Cloud or EBS integration, the same pattern we've built for NetSuite and QuickBooksOne team accountable for the whole build; no engineering lift on your side
Your team builds itWe hand you the API reference (Fusion Cloud) or the integration pattern (EBS), and your engineering or Oracle admin team builds the syncFull control over your own Oracle environment, your own pace, and your own change windows

Most teams start with manual export to get live quickly, then pick between the other two once they know
who has the bandwidth to own an Oracle build.

Fusion Cloud or E-Business Suite

The two Oracle products are different enough that they're worth telling apart before you scope anything:

  • Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP has modern REST APIs. A Wingspan sync here looks like the syncs we've
already built for NetSuite and QuickBooks: a straightforward build once a few things are configured on
the Oracle side (a dedicated bank account and payment method for invoices Wingspan pays, in particular).
  • Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) predates REST APIs as a design concept. Integrating with it means
staging data for a scheduled batch job rather than calling a live API, so the timeline depends more on
your own IT team's environment and patch level than on the build itself.

If you're not sure which one you run, "R12" or a version like "12.1" or "12.2" means EBS. A straight
"Fusion" or "Oracle Cloud" answer means Fusion Cloud.
