Set up the Wingspan MCP

Connect a supported AI client to the Wingspan MCP server and authorize it to use the Wingspan records you can already access.

Before you start

Complete these steps:

Confirm that you can sign in to the paying side of Wingspan and can view the contractors and payments you need.
Use an AI client that supports remote MCP servers over OAuth.
Review MCP access and permissions. The assistant can access what your Wingspan sign-in can access, and nothing more.

Review access before connecting

Anyone with a Wingspan sign-in can connect MCP. Existing Wingspan permissions determine which records they can read and write through an AI client. MCP has no separate permission, per-person assignment, or tool-level restriction.

Review Wingspan permissions before your team connects. In an Organization with child Accounts, each tool call can specify an accountId. A person can access only the child Accounts their Wingspan sign-in can already access. See Organizations.

Your AI client provider controls how it stores, logs, and uses answers after it receives them. Wingspan controls the records the tools return and who can access them. Review your AI provider's terms before connecting an Account that can access contractor data.

Connect your AI client

Claude

Install the Wingspan plugin in Anthropic.
Add the Wingspan connector when Claude prompts you.
Sign in to Wingspan and complete the OAuth authorization flow.
Run who_am_i to confirm that the connection works and verify the Accounts you can access.

Open the Wingspan plugin installation page.
Select Install plugin.
